TERMS OF SERVICE

By accessing or using RegexVault at regexvault.io (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Dream Atlas Studio, the operator of RegexVault. "You" refers to any person who accesses or uses the Service, whether as a free user, a Pro subscriber, or a pattern submitter.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
RegexVault is a curated library of production-tested regular expression patterns. The Service provides verified regex implementations across multiple programming languages, a live pattern tester, pattern submission, and account-based features including bookmarks and subscription management.
Free Access
All 417 patterns are freely available to browse and copy as JavaScript implementations. No account is required for free access. Free access is provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Pro Access
A Pro subscription unlocks all five engine implementations (JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, PHP/PCRE), pattern bookmarking, and priority submission review. Pro features require an active, paid subscription.
Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or experience outages. We will endeavour to minimise disruption but make no uptime commitments.
To access Pro features, you must create an account using your email address. Authentication is handled via magic links — a sign-in link sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account, as anyone with access to your inbox can authenticate as you.
Accurate information
You must provide a valid email address when creating an account. You agree not to impersonate others or create accounts under false pretences.
Account security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
One account per person
Each individual or organisation may maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or abuse the Service is not permitted.
Account termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subscription Plans
Pro subscriptions are available on an annual basis ($79/year) or a monthly basis ($8/month). A one-time Priority Submission Review is available for $15. Prices are in US dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Billing & Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel. You must maintain a valid payment method on file to continue your subscription.
Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the then-current subscription price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Pro access until that date. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
Refunds
We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if the service does not work as described. Refund requests must be submitted to support@regexvault.io. Refunds are not available after 7 days or for renewal charges.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If we increase prices, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
By submitting a regex pattern to RegexVault, you agree to the following:
Originality & Rights
You confirm that the pattern you submit is your own original work or that you have the right to submit it. Do not submit patterns copied from proprietary codebases or protected works without appropriate rights.
Licence Grant
By submitting a pattern, you grant Dream Atlas Studio a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, modify, and distribute the submitted pattern as part of the RegexVault library, including in Pro and free tiers.
No Compensation
Pattern submissions are voluntary contributions. We do not pay contributors for submitted patterns. Attribution may be provided at our discretion.
Review & Rejection
All submissions are subject to review. We may reject, modify, or decline to publish any submission at our sole discretion. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the library.
Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of the test cases and documentation you provide. Submissions that fail our automated verification pipeline will not be accepted.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- ✕Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security or access controls of the Service
- ✕Scrape, crawl, or mass-download pattern data in ways that place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- ✕Use the Service to distribute malware, submit malicious regex patterns designed to cause harm, or conduct ReDoS attacks
- ✕Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the full pattern database through automated means
- ✕Use automated tools to create multiple accounts or abuse trial periods
- ✕Resell or redistribute RegexVault content as a competing service without our written permission
- ✕Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through the pattern submission or support forms
- ✕Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these acceptable use conditions, without prior notice.
Our Content
The RegexVault name, logo, design, documentation, curation, and all non-pattern content are owned by Dream Atlas Studio and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding, name, or design without written permission.
Pattern Content
Regex patterns in the library are made available for your use in your own projects, both personal and commercial. You may copy and use individual patterns from RegexVault in your codebase without restriction and without attribution required. You may not reproduce the full library or substantial portions of it in a competing service.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (pattern submissions, support messages). By submitting content, you grant us the licence described in the Pattern Submissions section above.
Important — Please Read
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Pattern Accuracy
While we make significant effort to verify the accuracy, correctness, and ReDoS safety of all patterns in the library, we do not warrant that any pattern will work correctly in all environments, edge cases, or regex engine versions. You are responsible for validating patterns before deploying them in production systems.
ReDoS Safety
Patterns marked as "ReDoS Safe" have passed our automated static analysis and dynamic stress testing at the time of verification. We do not guarantee that a pattern is immune to all possible ReDoS attacks in all regex engines or with all possible inputs. Treat our verification as a strong signal, not a guarantee.
Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services integrated with RegexVault (Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel). Issues arising from these services may affect the availability of features.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DREAM ATLAS STUDIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY PATTERN OBTAINED FROM IT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If you have an active paid subscription at the time of termination for cause, we will not provide a refund. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused prepaid subscription amount on a pro-rata basis.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
We prefer to resolve disputes informally. If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@regexvault.io and we will make every effort to resolve it fairly.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription for a pro-rata refund of any unused period.
